Job summary

MSWA in Hamilton Hill is looking for a Casual Care Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to residents living with neurological conditions. You will assist with daily living activities and promote independence, choice and wellbeing within a friendly residential team.

Key responsibilities include personal care, medication assistance, meal prep, catheter care and wound care, plus documenting changes and building positive relationships with residents and their families.

Qualifications

  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Orientation Certificate (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care support including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, feeding, mobility assistance, hoisting, and other daily living activities
  • Assist residents with medication administration and monitoring
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Assist with catheter care, enteral management and basic wound care
  • Encourage participation in activities that promote inclusion, independence, and achievement of individual goals
  • Report and document changes in resident wellbeing and health status
  • Maintain accurate records and resident documentation
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
