Qualifications

Previous experience as a barista or in a café environment.
Food handling certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service.
Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy service periods.
Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of presentation and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based coffee drinks, teas and other beverages with skill and consistency.
Operate espresso machines and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly, attentive service across the counter and seating areas.
Prepare acai bowls, pastries and light food items according to recipe specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café, including equipment sanitisation and workspace organisation.
Process payments using the point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions accurately.
Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels as required.
Assist with general café duties including opening, closing and stock rotation.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
