Job summary

Crown Melbourne is seeking experienced Audio Technicians to join Crown Live Theatre on a casual basis. Reporting to the Production & Technical Manager, you’ll support theatre productions, rehearsals, performances and live events while delivering exceptional audio experiences across Crown Melbourne’s venues.

You’ll bring live sound experience, knowledge of digital audio consoles, RF/PA systems, and proficiency with QLab 5.

Qualifications

• Experience in live audio engineering for theatre, concerts or events.
• Knowledge of digital audio consoles, RF and PA systems.
• Proficiency in QLab 5 or similar show-control software.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical docs and show specs.
• Flexibility to work across performances and production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support audio operations across theatre productions, rehearsals, performances and live events.
• Deliver technical show functions including FOH mixing, monitor engineering, RF coordination and system operation.
• Assist with the setup, testing, maintenance and operation of professional audio systems.
• Work collaboratively with production teams, venue stakeholders and contractors.
• Ensure all activities are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest technical standards.

The Role

We're seeking experienced and passionate Audio Technicians to join our Crown Live Theatre team on a casual basis. Reporting to the Production & Technical Manager, you'll support theatre productions, rehearsals, performances and live events while delivering exceptional audio experiences across Crown Melbourne's entertainment venues.

In this role, you will:

• Support audio operations across theatre productions, rehearsals, performances and live events.
• Deliver technical show functions including FOH mixing, monitor engineering, RF coordination and system operation.
