Job summary

The Maronite Sisters Village in the Inner West is seeking a Personal Care Worker (PCW) reporting to the Director of Nursing. The position requires flexible availability with potential for morning or afternoon shifts and 5 days per week.

Key responsibilities include helping residents with showering, grooming, feeding and daily care, communicating with residents, families and staff, attending to buzzers, and upholding quality of life with accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant work experience in aged care.
• Attained min. Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support.
• Working rights required for this role.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
• Familiar with WHS and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily care needs (showering, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding).
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Attend to buzzers and respond promptly.
• Deliver high standard of care and maintain quality of life.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on accreditation standards and new practices.
• Report changes in residents’ condition to the on-duty nurse.
• Commit to Continuous Quality Improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• To assist our Residents in their daily care needs like showering, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding and more.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors and other staff of the organisation
• Attend to buzzers
• To deliver a high standard of care to our residents and maintain quality of life
• Have an excellent communication skill and possess high level of documentation
• To maintain up to date knowledge on AN-ACC, accreditation process, new practices, and procedures
• Report any changes in the residents’ overall condition to the registered nurse on duty
• Commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement
• 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role
• Working rights required for this role
• Successful applicants will have:

• Proven experience working in Aged Care
