Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT in Dubbo is seeking a Casework Support Worker for a full-time contract (35 hours/week) until July 2027, with the possibility of extension and travel across the region.

You’ll walk alongside children, families and Caseworkers—supervising family time, arranging respite placements, transporting children and supporting basic casework tasks.

This role offers growth in the PSP space within a supportive, culturally safe environment, providing a meaningful opportunity to make a difference.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Community Services or enrolled towards a social service qualification.
• Passionate about helping children remain safe and connected to family and community.
• Flexible, reliable and ready to travel across the Greater Sydney region.
• Communicate with care, clarity and cultural respect.
• Hold a current driver’s licence and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support culturally safe family time between children and their families.
• Arrange respite placements and provide transport for children and young people.
• Assist in completing basic casework tasks and documentation.
• Facilitate connections between children, kin, community and culture.
• Collaborate with Caseworkers and clinical team on plans for children and carers.
• Provide support during placement changes and ensure smooth transitions.
• Maintain accurate records and meet administrative requirements.
• Travel across the Greater Sydney region to engage with families.
