Job summary

Case Practice Support Worker (CPP2) opportunities are located across Victoria. The role supports child protection through visits, transport and case tasks to safeguard children's best interests.

Applicants must hold a valid driver’s licence and be willing to travel; overnight or early-morning shifts may occur. Some periods may require extended hours to support children's wellbeing; lifting may be needed. Salary: $62,742–$77,430 per year, plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Facilitating contact visits and transporting children to services as part of case support duties.
• Observing and assessing interactions between children and family members.
• Providing reports to child protection case managers to assess and plan for the child's best interests.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for extended periods.
• Possible overnight work and travel in evenings and early mornings.
• Occasional overtime to support child wellbeing.
• Comfort with lifting moderate weights such as car seats and children.
• Understanding of Aboriginal culture and the Aboriginal Child Placement Principle.

Case Practice Support Worker (CPP2) opportunties at various locations across the state: Case Practice Support Practitioners (CPP2) are integral to child protection and involves case support tasks, such as facilitating contact visits, transporting children to services and other case support duties such as:

• observing and assessing the interactions between children and family members
• providing reports to child protection case managers to assess and plan for the child's best interests.

The transportation of children is a requirement of this role. As such, you will have a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for extended periods of time. There may be the requirement to work overnight and travel in evenings and early mornings. On occasions, additional hours may be required to ensure the wellbeing of children. You must be comfortable lifting moderate weights such as car seats and children. You will possess an understanding of Aboriginal culture and demonstrate an understanding that the legislative, policy and practice requirements relating to Aboriginal children, families, and communities, including the Aboriginal Child Placement Principle and the programs and initiatives that support its implementation in Child Protection practice.
