Job summary

Berry Street in Morwell is seeking an experienced Case Manager to deliver in-home support and specialised case management for vulnerable children, young people and families. This fixed-term role runs full-time until November 2027 on a pro rata basis, with a competitive salary and salary packaging options.

You will assess needs, develop Family Action Plans, implement practical parenting strategies and complete MARAM assessments, within a collaborative team and with external partners.

Qualifications

• Diploma level qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Welfare or related discipline.
• Experience with vulnerable children and families in health, welfare or community services.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and child development frameworks.
• Understanding of Child Protection, The Orange Door, MARAM and information-sharing requirements.

The Opportunity

• Morwell location,Gunaikurnai Country
• Full-time, Fixed-term until November 2027 (parental leave)
• $105K pa + Super and Salary Packaging (pro rata)

Integrated Family Services supports families from diverse cultural backgrounds across Inner Gippsland, including South Gippsland, Bass Coast, Latrobe Valley and Baw Baw.

The program accepts referrals from The Orange Door and supports families with children aged from birth to 17 years, including parents who are expecting a child.

As an Case Manager, Integrated Family Services you will provide specialised case management and in-home support to vulnerable children, young people and families. You will work within a collaborative and supportive team environment that has a strong focus on partnerships with relevant external organisations.

In this role, you will:

• Provide specialised case management and in-home support to vulnerable children, young people and families.
• Assess families’ needs and develop tailored Family Action Plans.
• Deliver practical parenting strategies that strengthen family capacity.
• Complete MARAM and other relevant family assessments.
• Connect families with Child Protection, community services and other appropriate supports.
• Provide secondary consultation, referrals and group work interventions as required.

You Will Bring

• Diploma level qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Welfare or a related discipline.
• Experience working with vulnerable children and families within the health, welfare or community services sector.
• Demonstrated case management, assessment and engagement skills.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and child development frameworks.
• An understanding of the Child Protection system, The Orange Door, MARAM and information-sharing requirements.
• Strong communication, organisation and collaborative working skills.
• A current Victorian driver’s licence and Working with Children Check.
• Knowledge of NCFAS, PEEM and the Safe and Together framework will be highly regarded.
