Job summary

Payworx is seeking a hard-working Trades Assistant - Carpenter / Joiner & Labourer for ongoing work in Sydney. This hands-on role requires delivering quality on commercial projects and exhibition builds, with attention to detail and safe working practices.

You will read technical drawings, apply carpentry methods, and collaborate with teams to meet project demands across fit-outs and structural components.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in carpentry and joinery, engineering, fabrication or equivalent trade experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Sound knowledge of carpentry methods, metal and timber, materials, tools and machinery.
• Strong measuring, practical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable, practical and safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Work across commercial fit outs and government projects.
• Build exhibition/trade-show stands.
• Contribute to stage and concert set construction.
