Job summary

CoreStaff Darwin is recruiting for Carpentry & Construction Lecturers in Darwin to train and assess future tradespeople in line with ASQA standards and AQF requirements. You will deliver practical, competency-based training across multiple delivery modes and support learners through assessments and learning plans.

The role includes collaborating with industry, maintaining records and developing resources, with relocation support available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Carpentry & Construction required.
• Experience mentoring others and passing on skills preferred.
• TAE or ability to obtain within agreed timeframe; course fees reimbursed on completion.
• Experience providing workplace training or delivering education is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work across diverse environments.
• Commitment to health and safety, compliance and regulatory obligations.
• Cert IV Building & Construction highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training and assessment in accordance with ASQA standards, AQF and industry requirements.
• Facilitate competency-based training through diverse delivery methods.
• Conduct student entry assessments, workplace assessments and RPL to determine competency.
• Create inclusive learning environments and develop individual learning plans.
• Provide high-quality customer service and communicate with students, industry partners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with VET teams and provide leadership and teaching guidance across university and industry.
• Maintain accurate student records and complete administrative tasks including timetabling, progression and graduation.
• Develop and maintain compliant training resources and assessment tools.
