Job summary

Newman Senior Technical College offers an apprentice carpenter position for 2nd and 3rd years in the Forster area and surrounding suburbs. You will train with professional tradespeople, learning all aspects of carpentry and employment while gaining on-site experience.

The role emphasizes a great attitude, reliability, teamwork and a commitment to completing the apprenticeship with PPE provided and strong support from HIA Apprentices.

Qualifications

• Must be keen to start a carpentry apprenticeship and learn on the job.
• Demonstrates reliability, good attitude and willingness to learn the trade.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred.
• White Card required prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Learn carpentry across all aspects of training with experienced tradespeople.
• Work safely on construction sites and follow supervisor directions.
• Develop practical carpentry skills and toolbox familiarity.

We have carpentry apprenticeships available in the Forster area and surrounding suburbs of Taree and Coomba for an immediate start.
