Job summary

Apprenticeships Queensland Limited is seeking a Carpentry Apprentice to join our team in the Brisbane area. You will work with skilled tradespeople, gaining hands-on experience in residential construction and learning framing, formwork, and site procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting with on-site tasks, reading plans, and continuously learning under mentorship. The role prioritizes reliability, punctuality, and a strong interest in carpentry, with long shifts and local locations

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE MINIMUM P1 LICENCE AND RELIABLE VEHICLE.
• Ability to work long hours (up to 12 hour shifts).
• A strong interest in carpentry and construction.
• Reliability and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Learn framing, formwork, and fix-out under experienced tradespeople.
• Gain hands-on experience reading plans and following site procedures.
• Perform general on-site labouring and construction tasks.

About the Role:

As a Carpentry Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople and gain hands‑on experience in residential construction. You’ll learn all aspects of the trade, including:

• Framing, formwork, and fix-out
• Use of power tools and equipment
• Reading plans and following site procedures
• General on‑site labouring and construction tasks

What We’re Looking For:

• MUST HAVE MINIMUM P1 LICENCE AND RELIABLE VEHICLE
• Ability to work long hours (upto 12 hour shifts)
• A strong interest in carpentry and construction
• Reliability and a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Drivers licence and own transport preferred
• White Card (or willingness to obtain)
