Job summary

Apprenticeships Queensland in Eight Mile Plains is seeking a motivated 2nd or 3rd Year Carpentry Apprentice to join our growing team. You will learn all aspects of carpentry on a mix of residential and commercial projects under experienced tradespeople.

You will undertake a Certificate III in Carpentry, hold a White Card, and have a current driver's licence with reliable transport. You will work safely and collaboratively to develop strong carpentry skills on varied sites.

Qualifications

• Must be currently undertaking a Certificate III in Carpentry (2nd or 3rd year).
• White Card is essential.
• Current driver''s licence and reliable transport.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with framing and structural carpentry tasks.
• Support fix-outs and lock-up stages on sites.
• Install doors, windows and hardware as directed.
• Read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain a clean, safe worksite.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable 2nd or 3rd Year Carpentry Apprentice to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to continue developing your skills while working on a variety of residential and commercial projects alongside experienced tradespeople.

About the Role

As a Carpentry Apprentice, you will assist with and learn all aspects of carpentry, including:

• Framing and structural carpentry
• Fix-outs and lock-up stages
• Installing doors, windows and hardware
• Roofing and exterior cladding
• Reading and interpreting plans
• Using hand and power tools safely
• Maintaining a clean and safe worksite

What We’re Looking For

• Currently undertaking a Certificate III in Carpentry (2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice)
• White Card (essential)
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well within a team and independently
• Punctual, reliable and safety-focused
• Own basic hand tools (preferred but not essential)
