Job summary

Housing Industry Association Limited in Canberra seeks a reliable carpenter/apprentice/labourer to join our growing team across residential renovations, maintenance, demolitions and fit-outs in the ACT. You will work across projects, take ownership of jobs, read plans, and manage workloads to deadlines.

White Card, WWVP, Police Check and safety certificates preferred but willingness to obtain is acceptable.

Qualifications

• White Card and WWVP (or willingness to obtain) required.
• Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Asbestos and Silica awareness training is desirable.
• Ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication, reliability, and punctuality are essential.
• Experience in residential maintenance and renovation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out residential renovations, maintenance and refurbishments.
• Read plans and coordinate small projects on site.
• Ensure high quality workmanship and on-time delivery of tasks.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping on all sites.
