Job summary

HelkenHurson Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced full-time Carpenter/Formworker to join our civil construction team in Brisbane. You will prepare, erect and dismantle formwork for concrete structures, interpret drawings, and maintain safety on site.

The role covers foundations, walls, columns, beams and slabs, with hands-on work across multiple projects. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in carpentry/formwork, a Construction White Card, an unrestricted driver’s licence and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in carpentry/formwork.
• Proven experience in concrete formwork, including foundations, walls, columns, beams and slabs.
• Construction White Card.
• Unrestricted Driver’s Licence.
• Own reliable transport.
• Commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, measure and set out formwork for concrete structures.
• Erect and dismantle formwork for foundations, walls, columns, beams, slabs and other concrete structures.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Measure, cut and shape timber and other materials to required specifications.
• Construct, install and maintain formwork systems to ensure accurate dimensions and quality finishes.
• Use hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with general carpentry and civil construction duties as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with project specifications, company procedures and WHS requirements.
