Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications for interior fit-out and joinery work.
• Measure, mark and set out work accurately on site.
• Build and install timber wall and ceiling framing, doors, door frames and hardware.
• Install skirting, architraves, mouldings, linings, panelling and timber flooring.
• Make, assemble and install built-in cabinets, wardrobes, shelving and other joinery.
• Check work for level, alignment, quality and finish, and fix any defects.
• Maintain tools, machinery and work areas in a clean and safe condition and comply with workplace health and safety requirements.

Job Description

MGLJOINERY PTY LTD The successful candidate will build, fit and install timber and joinery work for interior fit-outs and renovations, including wall and ceiling framing, doors, skirting, architraves, built-in cabinets, wardrobes and shelving. The role will also involve reading drawings, measuring and setting out work, and cutting, shaping and assembling timber and sheet materials using hand tools, power tools and joinery machinery.

The successful candidate will check completed work for accuracy and finish and make sure all work is done safely and to specification.
