Job description

AFC Projects is a construction company building homes in residential and commercial areas.

We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at Meadowbrook in Queensland. As a Carpenter, your everyday responsibilities include:

• Read and interpret working drawings to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
• Construct, install, renovate and repair structures.
• Cut, assemble and install required materials on site.
• Erect timber framework, roof framing, install subfloors and verify trueness of structures.
• Nail fascia panels, fit exterior wall cladding and door and window frames.
• Measure and install skirting, architraves and sills.
• May repair existing fittings.
• May work with plastic laminates, perspex and metals.
• Have a positive attitude, willingness to learn and help supervise apprentices.
• Be able to provide our clients with excellent communication skills and customer service.

In addition, the right candidate will be required to:

• Be trade qualified and/or have a minimum of three (3) years of work experience.
• Hold a White card.
• Have own tools.
• Have a Driver's License and own appropriate work vehicle.
• Be well presented, punctual and have good communication skills.
• Be able to work in team environments and on their own when required.

This is a full-time position offering a generous salary between $75,000 – $90,000 plus superannuation to the right candidate (depending on experience).
