Job summary

NEWGEN CONSTRUCTION AUSTRALIA PTY LTD in Victoria invites skilled carpenters to join a team delivering residential and commercial projects. 3 vacancies, permanent full-time, with diverse carpentry tasks from framing to finishes and safety-focused work culture.

Successful candidates will read blueprints, use a range of carpentry tools, and collaborate with an experienced team to complete projects safely and efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 in Carpentry is mandatory.
• Certificate 4 in Building & Construction is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year full-time experience as a carpenter.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry tasks such as framing, roofing, siding, cladding and external finishes, and finishing work to a high standard.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects
• Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Assist with installation of cabinetry, doors, windows, and other architectural components
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs as required
• Build scaffolding and other temporary structures to facilitate building construction
• Maintain clean and organised workspaces
• Inspect and troubleshoot machinery and equipment
• Complete all tasks in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

NEWGEN CONSTRUCTION AUSTRALIA PTY LTD We are seeking skilled and reliable Carpenters who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and demonstrates strong attention to detail. 3 Vacancies available.

The successful candidate will be confident using a range of carpentry tools and equipment and will work as part of an experienced construction team. The role will involve a broad range of residential & commercial construction activities, including detailed carpentry, general site duties, and supporting other construction works as required to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Task & responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry tasks such as framing, roofing, siding, cladding and external finishes, and finishing work to a high standard

Projects include - Residential & Commercial work, renovations and extensions, decking and external carpentry, framing, fix-out and General carpentry and rectification work.

Qualification & experience Certificate 3 in Carpentry (Mandatory) Certificate 4 in Building & Construction (Preferred) Minimum 1 year of Full-time experience as a Carpenter Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to operate power tools and machinery safely and effectively Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kgs Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
