Job summary

Certis Security Australia is hiring a Cargo Screener in Mascot, NSW, to conduct electronic and physical cargo screening in line with aviation and transport security regulations and Certis procedures. You will work on flexible casual shifts across day, afternoon, night, weekend and public holidays, reporting to the Site Supervisor and helping ensure the safe movement of freight.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Security Licence must be valid.
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting abilities.
• Ability to follow procedures and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray screening and other approved detection equipment.
• Monitor and interpret X-ray images to identify threats.
• Conduct physical cargo inspections when required.
• Maintain accurate records and screening documentation.
• Report and escalate security or safety incidents as needed.
• Register vehicle numbers and control access to restricted areas.
