Job summary

BaptistCare NSW/ACT - Aged Care – Point Clare NSW is seeking a Care Service Employee on a permanent part-time basis. You will support residents with dignity and companionship, assisting with daily care and activities across a mix of shifts.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care Work or undertaking Undergraduate Registered Nurse training.
• Be physically able to carry out required duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Have basic technology/computer skills and a willingness to take part in ongoing education.
• Be able to understand verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Working in partnership with residents to achieve their goals by assisting with the implementation of their individual care plans.
• Demonstrating kindness and respect for the resident’s dignity as you assist with personal and daily care, and activities of interest to the individual (which may include showering, shaving, storing clothes, general cleaning, assistance with meals, and general movements throughout the day).
• Encouraging individual choice through an appreciation and understanding of the things that matter to your residents and their families.
• Providing regular feedback to your supervisor or the manager on the resident’s progress, new requests, changes, or any concerns.

Your Role:
