Job summary

Breakthru is seeking a Career Coach to support people with disability, injury or health conditions across Strathpine and Chermside. You’ll guide clients through job-readiness, help them build confidence, and prepare them for meaningful employment in partnership with employers and services.

You’ll collaborate with a supportive team, track progress, and ensure high-quality, person-centred support while upholding inclusive practices and compliance with relevant disability legislation.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
• Experience in employment services or supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions is desirable.
• Current Driver’s Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and support clients as they plan their career steps and find appropriate employment.
• Build relationships to understand goals, strengths, and support needs.
• Provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
• Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experiences, and group activities.
• Collaborate with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
• Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
• Champion Breakthru’s values of inclusion, empowerment, and person-centred practice.
