ILA Self Directed Support Forth Valley in Stirling is seeking a Care Worker / Personal Assistant to support a wheelchair user in leading an active, engaged life in the local community. The role focuses on accompanying to activities and outings, with pre-departure preparation and post-excursion settling back in, including some in-house physio.

Typical duties include mobility assistance, swimming support, personal care while out and about, and helping with physiotherapy exercises during outings

Responsabilidades

• Supporting the client to access and participate in community activities
• Wheelchair handling, including pushing and assisting with multiple transfers in and out of the car
• Providing support for employer to go swimming (incl transferring in and out of the pool)
• Assisting with aspects of personal care related to going swimming and providing support using public toilets
• Assisting the supported person with physiotherapy exercises during outings and at home
• Support communication such as interpreting sounds or conversations the client may miss
• Assisting and accompanying the supported person to attend medical appointments
• Any other duties commensurate with the role of Care Worker / Personal Assistant

Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour Gross

Description:

Employer is looking for a Personal Assistant to support her as a wheelchair user to lead an active, engaged and inclusive life within her local community. The role focuses primarily on accompanying the employer to activities and outings, while also providing support with preparation before leaving the home and settling back in afterwards with some in- house physio. Her Christian faith is central and valued part of her life. The employer has multiple health conditions.

Typical activities include swimming, golf. Bowling, café and coffee shops and shopping
