UKCIL Ltd. is seeking a supportive care worker to provide in-home assistance for a young adult male with complex health and learning needs in Cambs. The role involves flexible part-time shifts, including overnight stays, with duties spanning daily living, companionship, and therapy dog care.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, patient, and capable of maintaining routines, building trust, and supporting independence in a home setting. Training and ongoing development are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting individuals with complex health and learning needs and understanding of therapeutic approaches.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
• Willing to engage in activities like gaming, music, and activities to encourage participation.
• Experience in healthcare or education within SEN; willing to training in safeguarding and first aid.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a structured daily routine to promote independence.
• Engage in gaming, music, and outdoor activities with the client.
• Accompany to appointments, therapy sessions, and social outings as needed.
• Assist with meals, light cleaning, and laundry at home.
• Provide behavioural support and de-escalation when needed.
