Job summary

BaptistCare Griffith is seeking a Carer to provide compassionate personal and daily care for residents at the 130-bed Griffith Centre in Canberra. You will support dignity, routines and meaningful connections with a dedicated team.

Casual opportunities are available with a competitive hourly rate of $32.61–$36.23 plus superannuation, penalties and salary packaging. A Certificate III in Individual Support is required and you must be physically able to perform duties.

Your Role:

Our new 130 bed Griffith Centre in Canberra is conveniently located near the CBD, Lake Burley Griffin, shopping precincts and local parks. This energy efficient and environmentally sustainable building has been designed to ensure we can meet the care needs of the local community now and into the future.

BaptistCare Griffith is an innovative and modern looking facility, built to cater for people with low care, high care and dementia care needs. All our rooms feature ensuites, the facility also offers extra services

As a Carer, you will enhance residents' lives with compassionate care. By understanding their needs and preferences, you create meaningful connections that support their well-being. You will assist with personal and daily care, maintaining dignity and respecting routines, with the support of your team.

We offer a competitive salary based on your previous experience from$32.61 - $36.23/hr + superannuation + penalties + salary packaging.

About You:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
• Be physically able to carry out required duties in a safe and efficient manner
• A born listener, you are genuinely curious to know and understand people
• Your care skills are driven by compassion, and your positive attitude is contagious
• You rally your team, even on challenging days, to problem solve, connect and overcome
