Job summary

Bupa Aged Care, at St Ives, is seeking a Care Manager to lead the day-to-day clinical operations and the care home clinical team. You will coach staff, manage allocations, review incidents, and ensure governance and compliance for high-quality resident care.

The role emphasises person-centred planning, teamwork with families and allied health, and continuous professional development within a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA is essential.
• Post grad qualification in aged care highly regarded.
• Experience managing a minimum of 30 beds.
• Proven track record delivering quality clinical care within aged care or acute settings.
• Excellent clinical assessment skills and care planning capabilities.
• Highly effective communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
• Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes.

Duties include:

• Oversee the daily clinical operations of the care home
• Support and lead the care home clinical team including coaching, mentoring, staff allocations and delegation, performance management and education
• Review clinical incidents, complaints, and changes
• Lead compliance with AN ACC assessments
• Manage person-centred care planning and evaluation for residents - including case conferencing with families and carers
• Prepare and conduct clinical governance audits
• Oversee medication management in accordance with resident needs and legislative requirements
• Liaise with allied health, medical practitioners, and other services to provide optimal resident care

Our delightful and modern care home is situated in the green, leafy suburb of St Ives on the Upper North Shore of Sydney. Conveniently positioned on Mona Vale road the home is a central location to connect with the Northern Beaches, Wahroonga and Sydney CBD. It consists of 98 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents. In close proximity to the harbour and Northern Beaches, Bupa Seaforth is a unique home with plenty of onsite amenities. This large home accommodates 76 residents in superior accommodation with quality single ensuite rooms, and a variety of care units. As our Care Manager, you will work as part of a team of empathetic and caring clinical professionals. You will support the General Manager in managing and leading the delivery of person-centred care of residents, ensuring the highest standard of ongoing assessment, care planning and evaluation and clinical governance, helping them to live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
