Job summary

Bupa Australia is seeking a Cook for one of our care homes in a community setting. You will prepare nutritious meals in a home-like environment, ensuring dietary and cultural needs of residents are met with a person-first approach.

You will work within a supportive team, maintain high standards of food safety, and contribute to a calm, well-organized kitchen. Join us to help residents live healthier, happier lives in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in meal preparation in a care home or similar environment.
• Certificate in Commercial Cookery preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare well-balanced and nutritious meals for residents.
• Liaise with residents, families and the care team to meet dietary, individual and cultural needs.
• Support the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services.
• Comply with infection control and food safety procedures.
• Perform administrative duties such as stock taking and food quality assessment.
