Job summary

Integrated Care 24 Ltd is seeking a Care Co-Ordinator to support NHS 111, CAS and Out of Hours services within a fast-paced urgent care environment.

You will own an allocated service area, manage queues, coordinate resources and support frontline colleagues to ensure safe, timely patient care and service performance. The role requires flexibility across services and locations with a positive team approach.

We are looking for Care Co-Ordinators within our Integrated Urgent Care Division, supporting our NHS 111, Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) and Out of Hours services.

As a Care Co-Ordinator, you'll take ownership of an allocated service area, helping to manage queues, coordinate resource deployment and support colleagues to deliver high-quality care while maintaining service performance.

What you’ll focus on

You'll take day-to-day ownership of an allocated service area, such as NHS 111, CAS or Out of Hours, helping to ensure services run safely, efficiently and effectively throughout your shift.

Managing service flow and queues

You'll monitor queue activity and patient demand, responding to pressures and helping maintain service performance while ensuring patients receive timely access to care.

You'll provide guidance and day-to-day support to frontline colleagues, helping them navigate challenges and ensuring they have the support needed to deliver excellent patient care.

You'll monitor service performance against key targets and take appropriate action to support delivery, escalating concerns when required.

You'll help identify staffing gaps, changing demand and operational pressures, working with operational leaders to ensure appropriate cover and service continuity.

You'll identify and elevate risks relating to service delivery, patient safety, capacity or performance and ensure appropriate actions are taken.

You'll work closely with operational and clinical colleagues, ensuring clear communication, effective handovers, and collaborative working across services.

You'll contribute ideas and improvements that enhance service delivery, quality, and the experience of both patients and colleagues.

The environment you’ll work in

IC24's Integrated Urgent Care services operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year within a fast-paced operational environment.

This role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, service pressures, and demand throughout your shift.

You will work as part of a supportive operational team and may provide support across multiple services and locations when required.
