How You Can Make a Difference

As the SA Cardiovascular Research Network (CVRN) Lead, you’ll manage the day-to-day operations of the South Australian CVRN, supporting world-class researchers and driving collaboration across health, research, government, and industry partners. You’ll play a key role in raising the profile of cardiovascular research in South Australia while administering state-based research grants, delivering flagship events such as the South Australia Cardiovascular Research Showcase and Emerging Leaders Symposium, and strengthening partnerships that will help shape the future of heart health. You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our Adelaide office (50/50 split).

What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the SA Cardiovascular Research Network (CVRN).
  • Administer SA-specific research grants to support cardiovascular researchers.
  • Provide operational and secretariate support to the SA CVRN Executive and Rising Stars Committees and assist with strategic planning.
  • Deliver and manage flagship events including the S.A. Cardiovascular Showcase and Emerging Leaders Symposium.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with researchers, institutions, government, and health networks.
  • Drive collaborations and partnerships that strengthen South Australia’s cardiovascular research capacity.
  • Raise the profile of cardiovascular research through communications, alumni engagement, and stakeholder outreach.
What You\'ll Bring
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in health and medical research or a related field (desirable)
  • Understanding of the research and funding landscape in SA and Australia
  • Experience managing committees and stakeholder relationships
  • Knowledge or experience managing grants is beneficial
  • Demonstrated skills in project and event management
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation abilities
