Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane is seeking a Staff Specialist (Cardiothoracic Surgeon) to deliver specialist clinical care and lead the Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit, focusing on high-quality cardiac and thoracic services.

You will provide inpatient and outpatient care, participate in on-call roster including ECMO retrieval, mentor registrars and junior staff, contribute to research and clinical governance, and help advance the service across multidisciplinary teams.

Formación

• MBBS or equivalent required for medical registration in Australia.
• FRACS or equivalent credential recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
• Eligibility for registration as a cardiothoracic specialist with AHPRA.

Responsabilidades

• Provide specialist inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic care, including elective and emergency surgery.
• Support on-call roster, including ECMO retrieval and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
• Lead and mentor registrars and junior medical staff; contribute to research and clinical governance.
