Princess Alexandra Hospital is seeking a Staff Specialist (Cardiothoracic Surgeon) to provide expert clinical care and unit leadership within the Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit, delivering high-quality cardiac and thoracic services.

You will perform inpatient and outpatient care, including elective and emergency surgery, contribute to on-call ECMO retrieval, and lead multidisciplinary teams while mentoring registrars and junior staff.

Qualifications

• Hold MBBS or equivalent, FRACS or equivalent, and be eligible for registration with AHPRA.
• Strong clinical expertise in inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic care.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and on-call services including ECMO.
• Commitment to patient safety, governance, research and education.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist clinical care and leadership in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit.
• Deliver inpatient and outpatient care, including elective and emergency surgery.
• Participate in on-call roster and ECMO retrieval.
• Educate, supervise and mentor registrars and junior medical staff.
