Job summary

NSW Health in Hornsby is seeking a Registered Nurse for Ward 2D – Cardiology, Coronary Care and Respiratory. This temporary part‑time role involves 14 hours per week with potential extension beyond 11 May 2027, offering dynamic clinical exposure in a supportive team.

You will provide nursing care to adults with medical, cardiac and respiratory conditions, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and maintain current knowledge for safe practice.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
• A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Caring for adult patients in Cardiology, Coronary Care and Respiratory wards.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with patients and the health care team.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high‑quality patient care.
