Job summary

NSW Health at Westmead Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiothoracic Unit on a permanent basis. You will deliver cardiothoracic nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and further develop advanced clinical skills in a high-acuity environment.

Permanent full-time and part-time positions are available; you must hold current Australian work rights. Registration with AHPRA is required.

Qualifications

• Recent relevant experience in a clinical setting as deemed appropriate by WSLHD.
• Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients.
• Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.
• Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of health related information systems.
• Registration: Current Australian work rights and AHPRA eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred, evidence-informed nursing care to cardiothoracic patients.
• Collaborate with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Support and guide Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, students and colleagues.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
