Queensland Health in Cairns invites you to join a dedicated cardiac team delivering high-quality diagnostic services across Far North Queensland. In this role, you will perform a range of cardiac investigations while developing your clinical expertise and independence, and you will contribute to emergency on-call services for the Cardiac Catheter Lab and Echocardiography.

• Deliver routine cardiac investigation services in the Cardiac Investigation Unit (ECGs, Holter, ambulatory BP, exercise stress tests, haemodynamic monitoring during catheterisation).
• Participate in an on-call roster for the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory Team and Echocardiography when competent.
• Provide clinical education on routine tasks for students and junior staff with senior support.
• Collaborate effectively within the team and with patients/clients.
• Follow procedures and policies, including WHS, EEO and anti-discrimination requirements.

About you:

In your new role you will....

• Deliver routine cardiac investigation services within the Cardiac Investigation Unit, including 12-lead electrocardiographs (ECGs), application and analysis of Holter and event monitors, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, cardiac exercise stress testing, and haemodynamic monitoring during cardiac catheterisation.
• Participate in an on-call roster for the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory Team and Echocardiography when clinical competency is reached.
• Provide clinical education pertaining to routine tasks for students and less experienced staff with the support of senior team members.
• Work cooperatively and effectively within the team and with patients/clients.
