Job summary

Sydney Local Health District invites applications for a temporary full-time Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Day Stay Unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The role includes pre- and post-procedural patient care, scrubbing and assisting in interventional cardiac and vascular procedures, with 24/7 on-call coverage.

The unit operates 0700–1930 Mon-Fri; on-call duties may extend beyond these hours. The ideal candidate is AHPRA-registered, has cath lab experience, and 2+ years in acute settings

Qualifications

• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Current Cath Lab experience will be beneficial for the role.
• More than 2 years clinical nursing experience in acute clinical settings (ICU/ED/CCU).
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to participate in on-call roster and attend after-hours call backs within 30 minutes.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a high functioning team.
• Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organized manner during periods of high demand.
• Capacity to wear lead equivalent gowns for radiation protection.
• All candidates must have full working rights within Australia.
