Job summary

The Caravan Group Pty Ltd, operating as DRIVE RV, seeks an experienced Caravan Builder to join our Officer South, VIC workshop on a full-time basis. You will construct caravan walls, roofs and flooring from design through to delivery in a hands-on, on-site role.

Responsibilities include installing CNC furniture, reading planning drawings, performing quality checks and maintaining safety standards. A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for site visits may be required.

Job description

The Caravan Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Caravan Builder to join our growing team on a full-time basis in Officer South, VIC. As a Caravan Builder, you will play a crucial role in the design, fabrication and assembly of high-quality caravans. This position is central to our operations, directly impacting the quality of our products and our reputation in the market. You will work on-site in our Officer South facility, contributing to the construction and finishing of caravans from conception through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

Construct and assemble caravan walls, roofs and flooring according to design specifications and quality standards

Install CNC furniture to planning specifications with relevant safety regulations and standards

Conduct quality inspections throughout the building process to identify and rectify defects or inconsistencies

Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools and machinery safely and effectively

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion

Follow health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment

Provide feedback on construction processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and quality

What we're looking for

Proven experience in caravan building, RV construction, or similar recreational vehicle fabrication

Strong proficiency in carpentry and general construction techniques

Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and gas system installation in recreational vehicles would be an advantage but not essential to the role

Familiarity with construction standards and safety regulations relevant to the caravan industry

Ability to read and interpret planning drawings accurately

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship

Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel if required for site visits or customer delivery

Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a workshop environment
