Job summary

Northern Star Resources is seeking a Capital Project Superintendent to lead delivery of capital projects at Jundee. Reporting to the Capital Projects Manager, you will drive initiation through handover with a strong focus on safety, compliance and efficiency.

You'll coordinate with operations, contractors and internal stakeholders, manage costs and schedule, and oversee commissioning and project close-out. A tertiary engineering degree and valid WA White Card are required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or related).
• Current WA C Class Driver's Licence.
• Western Australian Construction White Card.
• Knowledge of mining project delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital project delivery from initiation through handover.
• Ensure projects meet safety, cost, and schedule targets.
• Coordinate with operations, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Manage contractor performance and site coordination.
• Monitor progress, costs, scope changes and risk.
• Oversee commissioning, handover and project close-out.

Northern Star Resources currently has an opportunity for a Capital Project Superintendent to join our team at Jundee. Reporting to the Capital Projects Manager, you will lead capital project delivery from initiation through to handover, providing statutory supervision and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.

What you can look forward to:

• Take accountability for the safe and efficient delivery of approved capital projects.
• Contribute to project scoping, scheduling and budget development to support effective planning and execution.
• Coordinate project activities with operations, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
• Monitor project progress, resource requirements, costs and scope variations.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Manage contractor performance, site coordination and day-to-day project execution.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks and issues throughout delivery.
• Coordinate commissioning, handover and project close-out activities.

• Experience in a technical leadership role within an operational environment.
• Proven experience delivering mining projects within an operational environment.
• Strong contractor management and project execution capability, with a practical, hands-on approach to project delivery.
• Sound understanding of project scoping, planning, scheduling, estimating and budgeting.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to develop practical solutions to project challenges.
• Ability to adapt to changing site priorities and manage competing demands.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across operations, contractors and project teams.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline).
• Current WA C Class Driver's Licence.
• Western Australian Construction White Card.
