Job summary

Asahi Beverages is seeking a Capital Project Manager to join the Supply Chain team across Queensland and New South Wales sites. You will drive the delivery of capital engineering projects, overseeing design, purchasing, construction, startup commissioning and handover to meet scope, timeline and budget targets.

The role requires flexibility to work across our two Queensland locations, Yatala and Wulkaraka, and to travel as needed for project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical or related).
• Technical understanding of manufacturing, packaging or utilities within a supply chain.
• Experience leading multiple capital projects and coordinating across functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication for scopes and stakeholders.
• Ability to guide contractors safely and deliver on time and budget.

YOUR IMPACT

We’re seeking a Capital Project Manager to join our Supply Chain team, driving the delivery of critical capital engineering projects across our Queensland and New South Wales sites. This newly created role offers the chance to shape how we plan and execute projects that keep our operations running efficiently and safely.

Manage the development and execution of capital engineering projects within Manufacturing and Logistics Warehouse sites, managing all project Design, Purchasing, Construction, People Resources, Startup Commissioning and Handover, ensuring the project delivers the scope, timeline, and budget requirements of the signed-off project business case.

Please note: the nature of this role requires flexibility to attend work across our 2 Queensland locations, Yatala & Wulkaraka. A sustainable commute to these locations should be considered prior to your application for the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of capital projects, including scoping, design, procurement, contractor management, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Write clear and detailed scopes, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across our manufacturing sites, ensuring open, efficient, and prompt communication.
• Provide on-site leadership for contractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Support procurement processes and navigate internal systems to secure the best project outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement in project planning, delivery, and safety practices.

About You

• Degree qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical or related disciplines)
• Technical expertise applicable to our supply chain network, such as in brewing, packaging, or utilities.
• Experience managing multiple projects, related to process improvements, brewing, or infrastructure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to articulate technical details clearly for project scopes and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Leadership skills to guide contractors and ensure safe, efficient project delivery.
• Flexible, proactive, and eager to step into new project areas as required.
• Knowledge of safety standards, procurement processes, and project management tools.
