Job summary

Randstad Pty is seeking a F&C Capital Budget Officer in Perth to support the PTA’s Asset Investment Program, ensuring timely and accurate capital budget management.

You will lead budgeting analyses, liaise with project cost controllers, monitor variances, and help maintain templates and procedures.

This 3-month fixed-term role offers an opportunity to contribute to financial governance while developing expertise in capital budgeting within a public sector context.

Qualifications

• Experience with accrual-based accounting and capital budgets.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Management Act and related procedures.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to maintain budget templates.
• Experience in coordinating with project cost controllers and budget teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital budget analysis and liaise with project cost controllers.
• Prepare annual budget briefing notes and variance investigations.
• Manage AIP funding evaluations and budget adjustments.
• Support data integrity, batch loads, and system issue resolution.
• Assist with process documentation and ad-hoc budget tasks.
