Job summary

NSW Department of Education is seeking a Leader of the Arts to provide leadership, coordination and operational management of Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) within a designated CAPA school. This school-based, part-time executive role advances high-quality teaching, learning and performance opportunities across music, dance, drama and visual arts.

Qualifications

• Proven capacity to provide strategic and operational leadership across CAPA programs.
• Ability to coordinate ensembles, curation, productions and large-scale arts events.
• Experience leading with a whole-school approach and managing partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategically and operationally across CAPA programs.
• Coordinate ensembles, curation, productions, co-curricular arts events.
• Collaborate with CAPA teams, whole school staff, tutors and external partners.
• Design and manage audition processes, workshops, events, logistics and budgets.
• Ensure compliance and effective resource management.
• Build and sustain partnerships with arts organisations and tertiary institutions.
