Job summary

MB Logistics is seeking an experienced 3PL Logistics Manager for a Canberra-based, long-term project. You will lead warehousing, inventory and transport operations with a strong safety focus, ensuring compliance, accuracy and on-schedule delivery.

You will oversee a dedicated project team, engage with clients and suppliers, and drive continuous improvement. A senior leadership role with a competitive package awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience managing 3PL warehousing and transport operations.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and safety leadership.
• Proven experience supervising operational teams.
• Proactive hazard and risk management.
• Experience with inventory control, WMS, and operational reporting.
• Strong planning, organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to work with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Current Australian driver licence.
• Forklift licence or forklift operations experience advantageous.
• CartonCloud knowledge is a plus.
• Qualifications in logistics, supply chain, transport, warehousing or management highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day warehousing, inventory and transport activities for the project.
• Maintain safety culture and ensure WHS compliance.
• Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments and safety investigations.
• Report and close out hazards, incidents and near-misses.
• Monitor Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and vehicle safety obligations.
• Manage warehouse receiving, storage, stock control, picking, dispatch and delivery.
• Coordinate material movements between locations.
• Utilise Warehouse Management System to maintain inventory records.
• Track KPIs for stock accuracy, receipting times, pick accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Develop and mentor warehouse, inventory, forklift and transport staff.
• Coordinate inductions and ongoing compliance training.
• Manage workloads, leave coverage and resourcing.
• Maintain operations and safety records for audit and reporting.
• Provide regular performance reports to stakeholders and flag risks.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety and service delivery.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained and safe.
