Job summary

Downer Group is seeking a Permanent Night Campus Support Officer at a university campus in Geelong. You will deliver safety, security and top‑level customer service during night shifts, with patrols, lock/unlock duties and monitoring of CCTV, access control and BMS systems.

The role requires security experience, a VIC security licence and current First Aid/CPR. You will work seven days on a rotating schedule and contribute to a professional, safety‑mocused team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years security experience.
• VIC Security Licence (Unarmed, Crowd Control & Monitoring)
• First Aid & CPR current
• Working with children check (employee) or willing to apply
• Knowledge of WHS and risk management practices
• Knowledge of current industry standards
• Highly developed customer service skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience with CCTV/Access Control/BMS is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders

Campus Support Officer - Deakin (Geelong)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an energetic, and enthusiastic customer and safety-focused Permanent Night Campus Support Officer. Reporting to the Security Manager, the purpose of the Permanent Night Campus Support Officer position is to provide for the safety and security of persons, premises, and assets of the site, whilst providing exceptional customer service to all our customers and stakeholders.

Remuneration: Base rate of $30.78 + 30% Perm Night Loading = $40.01 an hour.

Location: Highly Regarded University Campus in Geelong

12-Hour Shifts | Permanent Nights

Availability: Must be available 7 days a week.

The Security Officer responsibilities include (but not limited to):
