Job summary

Flinders University invites an analytical Campus and Space Planner to contribute to planning, space management and stakeholder engagement across university campuses.

Reporting to the Strategic Planning Lead, you will help drive strategic planning, space reviews and data-informed decisions while maintaining robust planning data and documentation.

Qualifications

• Qualifications or experience in interior architecture, urban planning and design, data analytics, or related field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with a customer-focused approach.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately.
• Experience interpreting data to support planning and decision-making outcomes.

About the Role

Join Flinders University's Property, Facilities and Development team and play a key role in shaping the future of the University's campuses. Reporting to the Strategic Planning Lead, the Campus and Space Planner contributes to a broad range of planning initiatives, supporting the development of engaging, functional and sustainable campus environments through strategic planning, space management and stakeholder engagement.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Support campus planning projects across campus, space, transport, placemaking and retail initiatives.
• Conduct research, analysis and reporting to inform strategic planning decisions.
• Assist with space reviews, audits, wayfinding, and planning proposals to optimise campus environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues to maintain planning data, records and documentation in line with University standards.

You are a highly organised and analytical planning professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a keen eye for detail. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, you enjoy solving problems, managing competing priorities and contributing to projects that enhance the experience and functionality of university spaces.

• Relevant qualifications or experience in interior architecture, urban planning and design, data analytics or a related field.

The Property, Facilities and Development (PFD) team works across all of Flinders’ places, spaces, and physical infrastructure.
