YOUR APPLICATION

Ready to bring your ideas to campus?

To apply, please submit:

  • Your CV
  • A short cover letter telling us a little about you, why you’re interested in the role and what you’d bring to the Student Experience team
  • Your Event Proposal - tell us about two on-campus event ideas you’d love to bring to life at USU
YOUR EVENT PROPOSAL

This is your chance to show us your creativity, your understanding of students and the kinds of experiences you’d like to create.

In a maximum of two A4 pages, tell us about two different event ideas for the USU community. Your events should appeal to different student interests, communities or audiences.

For each idea, we’d love to know:

  • The idea: What is the event? What would actually happen?
  • The audience: Who is it for, and why do you think they would engage with it?
  • The experience: What would make the event exciting, memorable or different?
  • Promotion: How would you get students interested and encourage them to attend?
  • Collaboration: Are there USU clubs, University teams, student organisations, performers, businesses or community partners you could involve?
  • Accessibility & inclusion: How would you make the event welcoming and accessible to a diverse student community?
  • The practical stuff: Give us a sense of what you would need to make it happen - think location, timing, equipment, and staffing.

We’re not looking for a perfectly polished event plan. We want to see how you think. Be creative, be realistic and show us what you think would make campus life better.

Your ideas don’t need to look like events USU already runs.
