A leading healthcare provider in Melbourne is seeking a CALD clinical liaison. This role includes providing tailored intake services, delivering single session therapy, and conducting psychoeducation webinars to support CALD communities. On 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health, a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The merger will provide new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.
headspace offers a ‘one stop shop’ for young people aged 12-25 and their families who may be experiencing mental health challenges. This program provides opportunities for young people to receive help early and promote a no-wrong-door approach to supporting young people and their families through GPs, counsellors, Alcohol & other Drug workers and Vocational and Educational support. Alfred Health is the lead agency for this program and offers the opportunity to work in a growing, dynamic healthcare environment.
You will act as a CALD clinical liaison to improve and increase the local CALD community’s access and engagement with headspace Syndal. You will work as a member of the Access team to deliver a range of tasks, including providing tailored intake services in-centre and outreach, offering single session therapy to CALD communities, and providing psychoeducation webinars/seminars for parents and students to build mental health literacy and reduce stigma.
The outreach role will collaborate with external stakeholders (e.g. international student coordinators) to ensure international students have clear, accessible pathways to support, considering visa concerns and potential isolation from mental health resources.
