Opaa! Food Management, Melbourne, seeks kitchen staff to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings and assist with serving lines. You will participate in occasional catering functions and perform all positions within the kitchen.

Daily responsibilities include setting up serving lines, preparing foods per menu, operating slicers and mixers, and maintaining clean, organized work areas while following safety procedures and HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic and percentages.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to carry out detailed instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.
• Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids: Dishwasher, Steamer, Mixer, Oven, Stove, Fryers, Slicer, Thermometers, Gauges, Knives, Box Cutters, Meal Counting Software, Desktop PCs, Calculator, Telephone, Fax, Scanner, Copier.

Responsabilités

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu and Opaa! recipes; batch cook and present foods appealingly.
• Operate equipment with proper certification; maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Maintain FIFO stock; manage inventory and keep coolers clean.
• Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas; handle dishes and equipment properly.
• Requisition food and supplies through Kitchen Manager; assist in administrative tasks.
