Job summary

Solhouse is a wellness-focused cafe in Torquay seeking passionate Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen Hands to join the kitchen team. You'll prepare fresh café dishes, maintain quality and assist with stock control in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years’ cafe/restaurant experience, strong food safety knowledge, and a collaborative, detail-oriented approach. Competitive salary and a vibrant Torquay setting await.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a café, restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of food preparation and food safety.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Passion for fresh, quality food.
• Reliable, organised and team-oriented.
• Positive attitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of fresh café dishes to a high standard.
• Maintain food quality, presentation and portion control.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and safety standards.
• Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
