Qualifications

• Certificate 4 in Commercial Cookery.
• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen or café.
• Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise food preparation and cooking activities according to the café's menu and service requirements.
• Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast, lunch and café-style meals.
• Maintain food quality, presentation and hygiene standards.
• Monitor food safety, portion sizes and reduce waste.
• Assist with menu planning and development of items.
• Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff as required.
