Job summary

SMEC is seeking a Cadet Drafter to join the Urban Infrastructure team in Parramatta to contribute to the development and production of major urban infrastructure projects across New South Wales.

You will learn and produce schematic and production drawings under supervision, with opportunities across a global engineering organisation renowned for its flexible working arrangements and career development.

Qualifications

• Enrolment in an Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree.
• Willingness to learn CAD technologies, with emphasis on the Autodesk suite of products.
• Ability to interpret and carry out instructions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within a diverse and multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of schematic and production drawings under supervision.
• Performing general office duties under supervision.
• Assisting more senior drafters with the analysis of tasks and problems.
• Production of construction-level documentation.
• Check print procedures.
• Issuing procedures.
• Vault data management processes.
