Job summary

Wentworth Shire Council in New South Wales is seeking a Cadet Building Surveyor on a six-year term contract, up to 35 hours per week. You will be supported by experienced Building Surveyors to gain practical on-the-job experience in local government certification and compliance.

The starting hourly rate is AU$34.96 plus 12% superannuation. A three-month probation and a pre-employment drug and alcohol test are required to join the team.

Job description

Term Contract 6 years (up to 35 hours per week)

Join Wentworth Shire Council as a Cadet Building Surveyor. Supported by experienced Building Surveyors, you will gain practical on the job experience and progressively build the technical skills required to work in Local Government certification and compliance.
Throughout the six year term contract, you will gain exposure to a range of building surveying activities, developing the knowledge and experience required to launch a rewarding career in building surveying.

The position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a three month probation period and has a commencement hourly salary of $34.96 + 12% superannuation. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a fit for work assessment along with a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
