Job summary

TAFE Queensland Gold Coast is seeking a Cabinet Making Teacher to join the Industry Trades Skills Faculty at the Ashmore campus. The role reports to the Educational Delivery Manager and offers a permanent, full-time opportunity focused on delivering best-practice vocational education.

Mandatory qualifications include MSF30322 and a training/assessment credential at certificate IV or diploma level, plus current industry skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology is mandatory.
• A recognised training and assessment credential (Certificate IV or Diploma level) is required.
• Current industry skills relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in vocational training and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Display teaching competence with a student-centred approach.
• Lead and manage teaching and learning in classroom, workplace, simulated and online environments.
• Design, develop and implement assessment tools meeting industry standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance training quality.
• Develop relationships with students, staff and industry groups.
• Promote safety and sustainability in learning and assessment.
