Job summary

Commerce Joinery and Cabinets on the Sunshine Coast seeks an experienced Estimator/Draftsperson to join the team. You will combine estimating, drafting, project coordination and client interaction to drive high-quality cabinetry projects from concept to manufacture.

Working with builders, project managers and our production team, you will help deliver residential and commercial joinery outcomes while maintaining deadlines and accuracy across all documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in cabinet making, joinery, or shopfitting.
• Estimating and/or drafting experience within the cabinetry industry.
• Excellent proficiency with CabMaster or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates from plans and specs.
• Produce detailed shop drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Interpret architectural and joinery plans and liaise with builders, suppliers, clients and internal teams.
• Conduct material take-offs and assist with procurement.
• Manage variations and update project documentation.
• Support production and project teams throughout delivery.
• Ensure drawings and estimates are completed accurately and on time.

Commerce Joinery & Cabinets is seeking an experienced and motivated Estimator / Draftsperson to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong cabinetry background who enjoys a varied role combining estimating, drafting, project coordination, and client interaction.

Working closely with builders, project managers, and our production team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality cabinetry projects from concept through to manufacture.

About the Role

• Preparing accurate quotations and cost estimates from plans and specifications


• Producing detailed shop drawings and manufacturing documentation


• Interpreting architectural and joinery plans


• Liaising with builders, suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders


• Material take-offs and procurement assistance


• Managing variations and updating project documentation


• Supporting production and project teams throughout the delivery process


• Ensuring drawings and estimates are completed accurately and within deadlines

About You

• Experience in cabinet making, joinery, or shopfitting


• Estimating and/or drafting experience within the cabinetry industry


• Proficiency in CabMaster, or similar software.


• Strong understanding of cabinetry construction methods and hardware


• Excellent attention to detail


• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction plans


• Strong communication and organisational skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
